
The discharge outlet on the rear of the supercharger is designed so that it can be positioned in 10 degree increments, to allow the supercharger to be mounted in a variety of positions with respect to the carburetor.
Rotation is achieved by first removing the nameplate covering the solenoid housing, via removing the two retaining screws. Care must be taken that the contact spring between the solenoid and nameplate is not lost (i.e., doesn’t disappear across the workshop). The six bolts from the row of tapped holes in the face of the supercharger should then be removed, and the two halves of the supercharger should then be separated by approximately ½” via gently pulling them apart. Rotate the housing by the required amount (10 degree increments) and then rebolt the two halves of the supercharger together. Finally replace the solenoid contact spring and nameplate, and check that the nameplate is in the correct position which is topmost.
The table below lists the scroll rotation, and the model number, of the supercharger on a variety of applications, and may prove useful in identifying the application a supercharger was previously used for. Please contact me if you have any amendments or additions.
